The low childs bed encourages the child to become more independent and improves his self-control. This is due to the freedom of movement on and off the bed. The bed is appropriate for all ages-from newborn on. The baby realizes this is his place of rest and when he starts crawling he can move on and off by himself. One side of the bed has a lower edge intended for easier access for crawling babies and the other has a higher edge to keep the baby on the mattress while sleeping. The mattress base is raised a few cm from the floor to keep air circulation and prevent any mold growth.
